Madame Tatin e sua torta de cabeça para baixo ~ Madam Tatin and her up side down pie

"An apple a day, keeps the doctor away."

One of the most popular french pies inspired me to create Madame Tatin. The fabric I chose is with small apples very delicate and reminded me direct the Tarte Tatin. It all started in 1880 when two sisters, Stéphanie and Caroline Tatin, managed a family hotel and  restaurant in Lamotte-Beuvron in France. Well, one of these very stressful days, Stephanie who managed the kitchen, let it cook for a too long time apples in butter and sugar and to not lose them decided to put the pie crust on top and bake. Served turning the apples up. It was a success ... go figure!! .. :-)
This is one of the versions, but so sweet as my doll. Let then so, 'cause the legend has persisted for more than 100 years.
In several of my creations, a kitten appears in the middle. This one I gave the name Glouton (glutton in French) and is hidden among the apples, maybe to get into the kitchen and try to catch the pie.
Totally pure cotton fabric and embroidered face. The apron has space for a sentence to choose. My original is a very well known and gives rhyme only in English :::
"An apple a day, keeps the doctor away."

Ajudinha para bonecas antigas ~ a little help for antique dolls

I've here for the first time a doll that is not mine. I was asked to help a doll to have a new look. A linen dress, striped legs covered  and a different hairstyle. Well, as fate would I had a chambray linen beige, one hand made antique lace and delicate fabric to cover the legs. It is delicate but a cheerful girl. Loved the experience and thereby creating here a "Repair workshop for dolls." I will create an album documenting the before and after to compare the transformation.
Doll has no age!!!

NARDA ~ entra ano, sai ano e ela continua aqui ~ year after year and she is still here

I created this doll a few years ago in honor of my mother called Leonarda and how is affectionately known by his friends as Narda, then came in handy ... 5 letters!
The body is in a pure cotton fabric often used for embroyderies. IN my Galery in five colors. The apron can be removed for washing and replaced easily. The face like all my creations is embroidered.
